Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) has been making Colorado an amazing place to live since 1992. They invest a portion of the proceeds from the Colorado lottery into the open spaces and parks throughout the state. GOCO approached the Sukle team to reimagine their digital presence – a project driven by authenticity and a shared passion. GOCO’s mission goes beyond the ordinary; it is about harnessing resources to cultivate nature’s beauty. The outcome? A website that is more than a platform – it is a testament to GOCO’s journey, brimming with informative narratives and captivating visuals.
The Process
RESEARCH
We worked closely with the GOCO team to connect with website users, combed through their existing website analytics data and connected with stakeholders to determine the primary goals for the project and develop a user flow.
WIREFRAMING
Using the research conducted in the previous phase, we created an interactive set of wireframes to determine the structure of the website and ensure that the users were able to accomplish their goals on a variety of screen sizes.
DESIGN & PROTOTYPING
With the structure set, we started applying a graphic system, imagery and final content to the site. We refined UI systems, defined graphic standards and created a fully interactive prototype for user testing and development.
DEVELOPMENT & LAUNCH
We worked closely with the development team to ensure our design files translated into a fully responsive website and integrated with their internal databases.

The revamped website seamlessly continued GOCO’s story, utilizing our journalistic content strategy. Rich with captivating imagery, it urges visitors to delve deeper into the world of GOCO. Post-launch, GOCO experienced a substantial uptick in both in website engagement and mission awareness.
